Dining while on the Harris Chain of Lakes
You launch your boat in Tavares for a day of fishing or relaxing and you feel the need to feed. There's no reason to pull your boat out of the water and drive anywhere.
There are many choices for you to check out by boat on the Harris Chain of Lakes. The Harris Chain of Lakes consists of Lake Dora, Lake Eustis, Big Lake Harris, Little Lake Harris, Lake Beauclair and Lake Griffin.

Tavares sit on Lake Dora with a public dock in Wooton Park. There are numerous options within walking distance for food from sushi to steak to ice cream. Alcohol is permitted in the waterfront entertainment district so you can walk in the park or meet friends at another restaurant using approved plastic cups. Tavares restaurants are pet friendly on outside dining patios.

Lake Beauclaire is southeast of Lake Dora past Mount Dora but there are no restaurants or business' on Lake Beauclaire.
The city of Mount Dora sits on Lake Dora and has a public dock. The town is very quaint and charming. You can dock and walk into town where there are many shops and places to eat from cafes with sandwiches and salads to fine upscale cuisine. Many of the restaurants have outdoor seating so if you're traveling with your dog, feel free to bring them along.
The city of Eustis is on the north end of Lake Eustis. To get to Lake Eustis from Lake Dora, take the Dora Canal.
There they have a public dock where you can walk directly into Crazy Gators or take a short walk into town where you can find everything from Mexican or Italian fare to pizza.
To get to Big Lake Harris and Little Lake Harris from Lake Eustis, take the Dead River The city of Leesburg
is wide and rests on many of the lakes but the downtown core of the city can not be reached by docking and walking.
To get to Lake Griffin from Lake Eustis, take Haines Creek (There is a lock) On Lake Griffin, there are very few options for dining.
